New warning on weight-loss meds

The latest warning should tell you everything you need to know about the disgusting and dangerous weight loss drug orlistat, better known as Alli and Xenical.

The feds say if you turn to these drugs to poop out your pounds, you could lose a lot more than just weight — you could lose your liver, and maybe even your life.

The see-no-evil bureaucrats at the Food and Drug Administration rarely rush to sound the alarm about anything Big Pharma is trying to sell — so when they’re worried about a side effect, you should be downright terrified.

According to a new warning, some people taking these bowel-emptying diet pills have needed liver transplants, and there has been at least one death linked to orlistat use.

So will the feds pull this needless med? Of course not! They’re just going to slap a warning label on it, one most dieters will probably ignore because they’re desperately searching for a weight-loss shortcut, regardless of the consequences.

But you won’t find that shortcut in a bottle of these pills.

I can give you a million reasons NOT to take these meds, starting with the notorious leaking butts and incredible, almost hilarious, flatulence. But the best reason of all is that they just don’t work.

Some 40 million people have tried some version of orlistat. Take a look around you — is the world getting thinner? The heck it is!

This drug only works — and even then, only barely — if you’re willing to starve yourself on a low-fat, low-calorie diet. And starving yourself is the quickest route to diet failure.

Skip the gimmicks and get real — lose weight the right way, or don’t even waste your time trying.
