Coffee can beat cancer

Enjoy this disease-fighting ‘mud’ every morning

Want another cup of coffee? Go ahead and have one. Better yet, keep refilling that mug — because the more you drink, the lower your risk of colorectal cancers.

Four cups a day cuts the risk by 15 percent, according to a new look at data on nearly half a million people. And six or more cups can slash the risk of the disease by 26 percent.

Yet some nags keep telling you coffee is a bad habit!

Let ’em think that so you can keep the brew — and the benefits — for yourself, because along with lowering your risk of bowel cancer, other studies have shown that coffee can fight off prostate, skin, esophageal, and other cancers as well.

While some studies have found that decaf can also provide some of the same benefits, the new research didn’t — so if you want all the cancer-fighting powers, make sure you drink your Joe fully charged.

Along with fighting cancer, coffee can also help protect the brain from just about everything. Tumors, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s — you name it, there are studies that show coffee can help keep it at bay.

Sorry, tea lovers, but the new study didn’t find anything for you — not when it comes to colorectal cancer, anyway.

But you don’t have to make the switch to mud if you don’t want to, since other studies have found that tea — especially green tea — can fight off other cancers, improve the heart, and even boost your longevity.

In other words, you can’t really go wrong when it comes to these hot drinks… unless you don’t drink them at all.
